ABC has announced two major renewals with “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” set to return for a third season and “Agent Carter” coming back for a second. Deadline is reporting that the rumoured spin-off, that was to have starred “Agents of SHIELD” Season 2 additions Adrianne Palicki’s Bobbi Morse (AKA Mockingbird) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter, is not moving forward.

Back in August, Latino Review reported a rumor that none other than Peggy Carter (Haley Atwell) would make an appearance in Ant-Man along with a few other Marvel Cinematic Universe favs, and now a casting ad placed in the film’s shooting location of Atlanta has confirmed as much.

It seemed to be a foregone conclusion, but now Marvel Entertainment has made it official. Dominic Cooper, who played the role of Tony’s father Howard Stark in Captain America: The First Avenger, as well as the Marvel One-Shot “Agent Carter,” will reprise his role in the upcoming “Agent Carter” TV series.
James D’Arcy (Let’s Be Cops) is the latest name to join the cast of “Marvel’s Agent Carter.” D’Arcy will be a regular on the upcoming series, which is also set to star Enver Gjokaj and Chad Michael Murray.
Marvel Studios has today revealed two new additions to the cast of the upcoming series “Marvel’s Agent Carter.” “Dollhouse” star Enver Gjokaj will play Agent Daniel Sousa, while “One Tree Hill” star Chad Michael Murray will play Agent Jack Thompson. Both appear to be newly-created characters for the series. It is said that Peggy Atwell’s Carter will meet both characters when she takes on her new role at the SRR in New York City.
