Avengers: Age of Ultron debuts a set of 8 new stills

Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, James Spader, Cobie Smulders, Thomas Kretschmann, Paul Bettany and Stellan Skarsgard. It will debut in theaters on May 1, 2015.

Matthew McConaughey to headline Born to Run

Following an Oscar win for his performance in Jean-Marc Vallée’s Dallas Buyers Club in 2013, Matthew McConaughey has been awfully busy, starring in the first season of HBO’s hit series “True Detective” and headlining Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. Now, Deadline reports that the star has signed on for Born to Run, an adaptation of Christopher McDougall’s 2009 bestseller.

Kevin Spacey to star in Nine Lives

Two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey (American Beauty, The Usual Suspects) hassigned on to headline Men in Black trilogy director Barry Sonnenfeld’s new comedy, Nine Lives. The film, scripted by Daniel Antoniazzi and Ben Shiffrin, follows a workaholic executive who, following some kind of accident, finds himself trapped in the body of his family’s pet cat. Spacey, who also recently took home a Golden Globe for his work on the hit Netflix series “House of Cards,” is no stranger to playing non-human characters. He played the robotic GERTY in Duncan Jones’ sci-fi thriller Moon and also lent his voice to Pixar’s early animated feature A Bug’s Life, playing the villanous Hopper. He also has a few recent comedies on his resume, including both Horrible Bosses films and David Dobkin’s 2007 Christmas comedy Fred Claus. Coming up, he’ll play President Richard Nixon opposite Michael Shannon’s Elvis Presley in director Liza Johnson’s Elvis & Nixon and provide the voice of the title character in 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation’s Boss Baby. EuropaCorp is both financing and producing Nine Lives with its US film president Liza Ellzey overseeing the project.

It’s official! Meet your new Ghostbusters! Paul Feig, the director of the upcoming reboot, just took to Twitter to reveal his new cast. Headlining the supernatural comedy are Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Melissa McCarthy (The Heat, Tammy), Leslie Jones (“Saturday Night Live,” Top Five) and Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live,” Life Partners).

Universal Pictures today announced that principal photography has commenced in San Francisco on the now-officially-titled Steve Jobs. Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, the film aims to take audiences behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.

An origin story said to be inspired largely by the “Ultimate Fantastic Four” comics (the first arc of which was written by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Millar with Joe Kubert illustrating), Fantastic Four offers a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team. The story centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

“Marvel’s First Family” will include Whiplash‘s Miles Teller as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), “House of Cards” star Kate Mara as Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman), Fruitvale Station and Chronicle‘s Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) and The Adventures of Tintin‘s Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm (The Thing). Dawn of the Planet of the Apes‘ Toby Kebbell will also star as Doctor Doom alongside Reg E. Cathey (“The Wire”) as as Dr. Franklin Storm and Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou?) as Harvey Elder, aka The Mole Man.

Mission: Impossible 5 moves forward to July 31, 2015!

With the latest franchise sequel having entered production last year, Paramount Pictures has some very exciting news today. Mission: Impossible 5, formerly planned for release on December 25, 2015, will arrive nearly five months earlier than expected! Look for Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt to once again grace the big screen this July 31! The hybrid CGI / live-action family film Monster Trucks, meanwhile, will take Mission: Impossible 5‘s original Christmas Day release. That film was previously scheduled for release on May 29, 2015.
