This week’s spectacular trailer dump continues, with 20th Century Fox debuting the first look at Matt Reeves’ War for the Planet of the Apes, starring Andy Serkis as Caesar!
Earlier today, 20th Century announced that they had broken the global box office record with $5.5 billion grossed in 2014 and they celebrated by dating a number of new movies, including one anticipated sequel, a spin-off to the company’s most successful superhero franchise, another sequel to an upcoming reboot and much more.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that director Matt Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will be available on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on December 2 and on Digital HD November 11. The film quickly became the highest-grossing film in the franchise this summer, netting nearly $680 million at the box office.
We’re over halfway through one of the worst Julys in recent memory at the box office and the release of three new movies in wide release, including two sequels, wasn’t enough to revive things as 20th Century Fox’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes remained in first place for a second weekend in a row with $36 million.
