Supergirl, Gotham and more hit the cover of TV Guide for Comic-Con

Warner Bros. Television and TV Guide Magazine have today revealed that, for the sixth year in a row, they’ll be teaming up on a special Warner Bros.–themed Comic-Con special edition of the magazine. Four collectible covers will feature WBTV/DC Entertainment’s “Arrow” star Stephen Amell, “The Flash” star Grant Gustin, “Gotham” stars Ben McKenzie and Donal Logue, and “Supergirl” herself, Melissa Benoist.

Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. centers on CIA agent Solo and KGB agent Kuryakin. Forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, the two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo’s only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe.

Source: Jurassic World Hits $500 Million in Weekend Box Office Battle (ComingSoon.net) June’s two box office juggernauts, Universal’s  Jurassic World and Disney•Pixar’s Inside Out, had a heated battle for the top spot this weekend after an unprecedented weekend where both movies grossed more than $90 million. Ultimately, Jurassic World won the weekend as it grossed another $54.2 million (estimated) over the weekend, becoming the fastest movie to reach $500 million domestically over any previous movie including previous record holder Marvel’s The Avengers. Directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson and Nick Robinson, Jurassic World has proven to be the biggest breakout hit of the summer as it also has become the #1 highest-grossing movie of the year, at least domestically, which most thought would be held by Avengers: Age of Ultron, at least for the summer. Internationally, Jurassic World grossed another $82.5 million 66 territories to bring its overseas total to $737.5 million with China claiming $201 million of that amount. Chloe Grace Moretz to star in Brain On Fire

Although she was announced to star last summer, scheduling issues have forced Dakota Fanning to drop out of the planned adaptation of Susannah Cahalan’s memoir, Brain on Fire. The Hollywood Reporter has already named a replacement, however, bringing word that Chloe Grace Moretz will step into the leading role in the feature, which is being produced by Charlize Theron and her production company, Denver and Delilah. Gerard Barrett is set to direct and both Will Poulter and Thomas Mann are also attached to star.

The X-Files reboot reveals first stills and EW cover

“The X-Files” originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully (Anderson) and Mulder (Duchovny) as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.
