Robin Wright, Danny Huston join DC’s Wonder Woman

Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ Wonder Woman feature film, the highly anticipated action adventure from director Patty Jenkins (“Monster,” AMC’s “The Killing”), starring Gal Gadot (the “Fast & Furious” movies) in the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. The character will make her big screen debut this spring in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” but the new film will mark her first time headlining a feature.

Official: Michelle MacLaren to direct Wonder Woman

It was just over a week ago that word broke that Warner Bros. Pictures was keen on signing “Breaking Bad” and “The Walking Dead” director Michelle MacLaren to helm their long-awaited DC Comics adaptation Wonder Woman. Today, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that the deal is done! MacLaren will both develop and direct the solo film with Charles Roven and Zack and Deborah Snyder producing.

News broke late last month that Warner Bros. Pictures was looking for a female director to take on the Wonder Woman movie, and now we know who they were eyeing. According to Variety, Warner Bros. Pictures is in negotiations with Michelle MacLaren to direct the June 23, 2017 release, starring Gal Gadot. Charles Roven will produce.
