Following the hero’s debut adventure in this summer’s “Ant-Man,” Scott Lang will return alongside Hope Van Dyne on July 6, 2018 with Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” The sequel will mark the first Marvel Studios film named after its heroine.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Peter Craig and Danny Strong and features a cast that also includes Academy Award-winner Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone with Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland reprising their original roles from The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Iconic film composer Ennio Morricone will be doing an original score for Quentin Tarantino’s new movie The Hateful 8, Tarantino announced today during the film’s panel at Comic-Con. It will be the first Western score for the prolific Morricone in 40 years and reunites the two after some harsh words were apparently smoothed over after their collaboration on Django Unchained.
Starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker as their characters from the original trilogy, The Force Awakens also stars John Boyega as Finn, Daisy Ridley as Rey, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, and Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma. Also starring, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong and Miltos Yerolemou, the J.J. Abrams-directed film will debut in theaters on December 18, 2015.
Deadline is reporting that comedic actor Dan Fogler (Balls of Fury, Fanboys) has been cast in Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly-anticipated feature Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a new adventure set in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. He will join previously announced Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston and Alison Sudol.
Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones will play the four main ‘busters in the film with Chris Hemsworth also starring as their trusty secretary. The film is also set feature Andy Garcia as the Mayor of New York City, Michael K. Williams as a character named “Hawkins,” Matt Walsh as a character named “Rourke” and Neil Casey as the film’s villain. New York City’s NY1 news anchor Pat Kiernan is also set to appear as news anchor in the film. The film is targeting a July 22, 2016 release.
Actor Omar Sharif, best known for his roles in classic films Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago, has died aged 83. Egypt-born Sharif won two Golden Globe awards and an Oscar nomination for his role as Sherif Ali in David Lean’s 1962 epic Lawrence of Arabia.
Go Set a Watchman is Harper Lee’s recently rediscovered sequel to the beloved To Kill A Mockingbird, and only the author’s second novel ever to be published. It hits store shelves this Tuesday, July 14, but Wall Street Journal and The Guardian have already published the first chapter (complete with beautiful illustrations and audio narration by Reese Witherspoon).

Alison Sudol has been set to star with Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston in Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly-anticipated feature Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a new adventure set in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.
