Grammy-winner Lorde to curate ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1’ soundtrack

Lionsgate announced today that multiplatinum Grammy Award-winning recording star Lorde will curate the soundtrack album for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. In addition to hand-picking the artists for “The Mockingjay – Part 1” soundtrack, Lorde will provide the first single for the film and album. The soundtrack will be available via Republic Records this fall.

Disney’s ‘Into The Woods’ first trailer arrives

Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel—all tied together by an original story involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has put a curse on them.

Domhnaill Gleeson joins ‘The Revenant’ opposite DiCaprio and Hardy

Domhnall Gleeson is the latest name to join the cast of Alejandro González Iñárritu’s western project, The Revenant. Variety reports that the upcoming star of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII will join the previously-attached Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy and Will Poulter in the New Regency film. Based on the novel by Michael Punke, The Revenant is about a frontiersman who wants to get revenge on a couple of men who left him for dead after being mauled by a bear. Gleeson also recently starred opposite Rachel McAdams and Bill Nighy in last year’s About Time. He can seen coming up playing opposite Michael Fassbender in Frank, opening August 15. Adapted by Inarritu with Mark L. Smith, The Revenant is produced by Steve Golin, Keith Redmon and David Kanter will start shooting this fall.

‘Interstellar’ launches mysterious official site before Wednesday’s new trailer

The mysteries of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar deepen today with a massive update to the film’s official site. Visitors are now greeted with messages like “Look Around You” and “The Answer Lies Above Us” as they’re granted the power to rotate a 360 degree image of one of the film’s key locations. What’s particularly intriguing, however, is that the site seems to be based on vistors’ own local time and geography, offering very different skies depending on where and when the site is accessed.
