Leonardo DiCaprio to star in The Crowded Room

Leonardo DiCaprio has lined up an intriguing acting challenge today, signing on to headline The Crowded Room. The Hollywood Reporter has the news, claiming that the Academy Award nominee has been eyeing the part for two decades and is now finally moving forward with plans to play the film’s lead role of Billy Milligan, a man with 24 different personalities and the subject of Daniel Keyes’ 1981 nonfiction book “The Minds of Billy Milligan.”

Denis Villeneuve to direct Blade Runner sequel; Harrison Ford to return!

Harrison Ford is officially set to reprise his celebrated role of Rick Deckard in the sequel to Alcon Entertainment’s Blade Runner and Academy Award nominee Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Incendies) is in negotiations to direct, it was announced by Alcon co-founders and co-CEO’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson! The film is scheduled to start principal photography in summer of 2016. Hampton Fancher (co-writer of the original) and Michael Green have written the original screenplay, based on an idea by Fancher and Ridley Scott.

Netflix’s Daredevil reveals official poster

Starring Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), Bob Gunton (Leland Owlsely aka The Owl), Vondie Curtis Hall (Ben Urich), Toby Leonard Moore (Wesley, Wilson Fisk’s right hand man), Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa Fisk), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), “Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Fantastic 4 reveals four stills

An origin story said to be inspired largely by the “Ultimate Fantastic Four” comics (the first arc of which was written by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Millar with Joe Kubert illustrating), Fantastic Four offers a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team. The story centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk character poster arrives

In the May 1, 2015 release, when Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. Community director Rob Schrab to helm The LEGO Movie 2

Director Rob Schrab (“Community,” “The Mindy Project”) will mark his feature directorial debut overseeing construction on The LEGO Movie Sequel, the eagerly awaited follow-up to the worldwide sensation The LEGO Movie. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.

Jessica Chastain joins Snow White and the Huntsman sequel

Two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain (The Help, Zero Dark Thirty) has, according to a story today at Deadline, joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ Untitled Snow White and the Huntsman spinoff. Although her specific role has not yet been revealed, she joins the returning Chris Hemsworth (Marvel’s The Avengers, Blackhat) and Charlize Theron (Young Adult, Mad Max: Fury Road) as well as the recently-announced Emily Blunt (Into the Woods, Edge of Tomorrow), who is set to play the story’s villain. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, who served as a visual effects supervisor on the first film, will be making his feature film directing debut.
