Confirmed: Joel Kinnaman replaces Tom Hardy in Suicide Squad

It was revealed not too long ago that Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop) was the frontrunner to play Rick Flagg in David Ayer’s DC Comics adaptation Suicide Squad, and the actor has now confirmed that he will appear in the movie

Kinnaman confirmed the news while talking to French website AlloCiné about his new movie Run All Night. On the topic of Suicide Squad, Kinnaman was brief but said “all I can say is I’m going to be in the movie. It’s going to be amazing”.

Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevigne, Viola Davis and Jesse Eisenberg star in the David Ayer film.  The movie will be released on August 5th next year.
