The official billing block for Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them has been revealed today, featuring the finalised credits for the movie. Included is the revaluation that The Hunger Games composer James Newton Howard will score the film.
Fantastic Beasts is a prequel to the Harry Potter films, written by JK Rowling and directed by David Yates. The Potter films were scored by a handful of composers, notably John Williams, Patrick Doyle and later Alexandre Desplat (who we hoped to see return for Beasts).
James Newton Howard’s recent work has included The Hunger Games, Nightcrawler, Concussion and The Huntsman: Winter’s War. He also worked with Hans Zimmer on The Dark Knight.
The billing block for Fantastic Beasts also acknowledges Colin Farrell with an “and” credit (suggesting a significant but moderately-sized role) and Jon Voight with billing that would imply quite a small role. Colleen Atwood is a newcomer to the franchise as Costume Designer. Mark Day, Stuart Craig and producers David Heyman and Steve Kloves all return from the Potter series, while Potter author Rowling has penned the script.
Fantastic Beasts is released on November 18.
