Disney/Pixar have released the teaser trailer for their upcoming original feature, Coco, and the film looks truly stunning.
Coco will feature the voices of Gael García Bernal (Y Tu Mamá También, The Motorcycle Diaries), Anthony Gonzalez (Icebox), Benjamin Bratt (Despicable Me 2, Doctor Strange) and Renee Victor (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, Confessions of a Shopaholic).
“Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Character actress Renée Victor also joins the cast as Abuelita, Miguel’s grandmother.”
Lee Unkrich (Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo) will direct the film with co-director Adrian Molina (The Good Dinosaur), who also wrote the script. Disney•Pixar’s Coco will be released on November 22, 2017. The next film from the company is Cars 3, which will race into theaters on June 16, 2017.
