An Extended Cut of SUICIDE SQUAD is coming on November 15

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, as released in cinemas on August 5, was a terrible, terrible film. Warner Bros. are hoping, however, to double down on the success of Batman v Superman‘s Blu-Ray “Ultimate Edition” with a so-called “Extended Cut” of Ayer’s film… presumably featuring significantly more footage of Jared Leto’s Joker.

The Theatrical Version running time is 123 minutes, the Extended Cut running time is 136 minutes.

The version of Squad released in cinemas was reportedly taken out of Ayer’s hands and recut by trailer-editing company Trailer Park. We can only assume that the “Extended Cut” will be closer to Ayer’s original version of the film.

The honest truth is: Suicide Squad had so many horrendous ingredients, no alternative version can save it. We won’t be wasting our time or money on this.
