INFERNO reveals new posters… and they’re really ugly

Ron Howard’s adaptation of Dan Brown’s “Inferno” arrives in a few weeks, and Sony have been releasing a series of international posters for the film. We’d be lying if we told you they were well-designed…

This one is particularly horrendous. The inclusion of the two leads’ names in an oversized typeface, hovering above the wrong heads. The title INFERNO written vertically (this has only ever worked once in cinema history). The tagline “…is upon us”. The smoke that appears to be the result of Google Images search “Smoke.png”. The upside-down Italian cityscape. It’s a miracle the billing block wasn’t stuck at the top, á la Suicide Squad‘s one-sheet. This is just horrible.

Inferno, which hopefully won’t be horrible, arrives on October 28.
