Chris Moyles returns this Monday as host of Radio X breakfast show

It’s been over 3 years since Chris Moyles last hosted a radio show. September 2012 is when he finished his run as host of BBC Radio 1’s hugely popular early morning “The Chris Moyles Show”. Now, after a (much longer than expected) hiatus, the self-proclaimed saviour of British radio returns, hosting in his old 6.30-10am timeslot on the new digital station Radio X, a male-oriented replacement for Xfm.

Moyles’ show begins this Monday. September 21. Little is known of his show’s format. Confirmed is that old “Moyles Show” newsreader/sidekick Dominic Byrne will be joining Moyles, though Comedy Dave and Aled Haydn Jones will not.

Radio X have released a short teaser of Moyles’ new TV ad, promoting the show and the station:

The full ad will air during Rugby World Cup matches on ITV, and on Channel 4 and Sky.

We may be the only people on earth to say this with a straight face, but we’re really excited for the energetic, passionate and consistently entertaining motormouth to return to breakfast….
