Steve Carrell replaces Bruce Willis in Woody Allen’s new film

It was reported this week that Bruce Willis was exiting Woody Allen’s new project due to his commitments to bring Stephen King’s “Misery” to Broadway, though rumours circulated that Willis was let go by Allen because he didn’t feel he was right for the role. Now Deadline is reporting that Oscar nominated actor Steve Carell will be reuniting with Woody Allen for the first time in over ten years to replace Willis in said role.

Carell previously appeared in the 2004 dramedy Melinda and Melinda and now he’ll be joining the cast, which includes Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Jeannie Berlin, Corey Stoll, Ken Stott, Anna Camp, Stephen Kunken, Sari Lennick and Paul Schneider.

Besides filming in Los Angeles, Allen will also shoot some scenes in New York.
