So San Diego Comic-Con has begun, and although Disney-owned Marvel and Star Wars won’t be making any big reveals at the con this year, opting instead to bring out the big guns at the D23 Expo in August, some noteworthy reveals are nonetheless expected from Warner Bros., Fox and perhaps even Legendsry. Here’s some stuff BuzzHub would like to see before Sunday….
Fantastic Beasts: Cast appearance. The three lead actors have been announced at this point, and there’s no reason why they shouldn’t arrive on stage together during the Warner panel…. with JK Rowling? And David Yates? And a new major casting announcement for a supporting role? Eh? C’mon Warner! This movie was announced two years ago and we’ve got nothing!
Warcraft: Duncan Jones is appearing. He must be bringing a trailer! And a cast panel isn’t out of the question, though the cast of this film is nothing to write home about.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Panel by the whole cast (incl. Jesse Eisenberg, Holly Hunter, Jeremy Irons etc.). A substantial amount of footage. First look at Cyborg? Announcement of Flash or Shahzam casting. First look at Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. Supporting cast announcement for Wonder Woman. Solo Batman movie announcement. We wouldn’t put it past Zack Snyder to screen the entirety of BvS for Hall H, but it’s unlikely.
Suicide Squad: Cast panel. Some footage.
Fantastic Four: Josh Trank is supposed to be coming, even though he is (at this point infamously) Kray Kray. The cast will appear. Nobody cares.
X-Men: Apocalypse: Taylor Swift casting announcement? Probably not. Wolverine news or some sort? Quite possibly.
Deadpool: FOOOOTTAAAAAGGGE! This is going to be very popular with the Hall H crowd.
Kong: Skull Island: After losing its two most interesting stars (JK Simmons, Michael Keaton) last week, the less said about this the better.
